The HP LaserJet 1020 Plus Printer Drivers package allows you to interface Microsoft Windows with your LasterJet 120 printing hardware. While Windows can normally communicate with one of these printers regardless of whether you have a specific driver installed, you might not be able to access all of the features without first configuring this package to run.
In a worst case scenario, your machine may not recognize your printer when you first plug it in. To solve this issue, all it takes is an install of the 1020+ drivers coupled with a reboot while the printer is plugged in to get the machine working properly again.
Power users are free to access a complete printer control panel that allows them to configure the way that documents are sent to their 1020+ hardware. Many people will probably just want to use the default print dialog box that Windows provides, which makes it easier to work with individual documents. Those who want to fine tune everything, however, should find that they can adjust a number of settings using this built-in extension.
Integrated drafting modes and other settings make it easy to produce multiple documents in a short period of time. While this makes the resolution of your printed documents suffer to at least some extent, you're unlikely to notice if you tune them correctly. That could end up saving quite a bit of ink over your machine's lifespan.
It might even help to reduce the wear and tear on your printer by making documents move through it faster. Best of all, it comes with a simple interface that's easy to learn to use.
